Description
We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join our software engineering team, focusing on building innovative AI applications. As an AI/ML Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art AI models and algorithms that power our products and services.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML models and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and research, to identify and prioritize AI/ML project opportunities
- Develop and maintain datasets for training and testing AI/ML models
- Implement and optimize AI/ML algorithms using popular AI frameworks (e.g. Hugging Face, LangChain, Llama Index, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
- Prepare and preprocess data for training AI/ML models, including data cleaning, tokenization, and feature engineering
- Fine-tune and adapt pre-trained AI/ML models for specific use cases and applications
- Work with software engineers to integrate AI/ML models into larger software systems
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML research and apply them to real-world problems
- Communicate complex AI/ML concepts and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- 4+ years of industry experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on Deep Learning and NLP
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and/or C++
- Experience with popular deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Scikit-learn) and LLM focused libraries (e.g., LangChain, Llama Index, Open AI, Hugging Face)
- Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, including machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data structures
- Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Qdrant, Pinecone, Faiss) and their applications in generative AI
- Knowledge of techniques for efficient AI/ML model deployment, including model pruning, quantization, and knowledge distillation
- Experience with generative AI models, including transformer-based architectures (e.g., BERT, T5)
- Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms (e.g., Azure AI Foundry, AWS SageMaker, or Google Cloud AI Platform) and containerization (e.g., Docker)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex software and AI/ML systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- Experience with other AI/ML areas, such as computer vision or reinforcement learning
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
- Knowledge of Agentic AI and its applications in real-world systems
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models and their applications in NLP and Conversational AI
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Kubernetes)
