Description

You will perform structural analysis and design for advanced vertical lift composite and metallic airframe structures. You will own the release pipeline for part and assembly definitions before production.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analyses for strength, stability, stiffness, fatigue, weight, and manufacturing requirements using classical and finite element methods.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, supplier, laboratory, flight test, and project management teams.
• Review part and assembly definitions before production release.
• Examine structural or material discrepancies to create inspection and repair procedures.
• Author test plans, instrumentation requests, monitoring limits, and stress reports to ensure airworthiness.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in stress analysis of advanced composite or metallic structures.
• Proficiency with finite element analysis (FEA) of complex models.
• Strong knowledge of air vehicle structure analysis and design fundamentals.
• Ability to lead stress activities and report status to program management.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related degree with equivalent experience.
