Description

Manage and administer IBM pSeries Unix systems and AIX operating systems in an enterprise environment.

You will configure and migrate file systems on AIX servers using LVM across multiple storage platforms. Manage IBM VIOS and virtual workloads using PowerVM virtualization technologies. Develop and deploy Shell scripts to automate monitoring and maintenance procedures. Administer RedHat Enterprise Linux and manage container technologies in the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and update AIX 7.x on IBM pSeries hardware.
• Implement and administer PowerVM virtualization (Virtual I/O) on IBM pSeries.
• Manage enterprise UNIX environments consisting of 100 or more AIX servers.
• Migrate authentication processes from NIS to MS Active Directory.
• Work with container technologies and Shell scripting for automation.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience with AIX 7.x on IBM pSeries hardware.
• 4+ years of experience with PowerVM virtualization (Virtual I/O).
• 4+ years managing enterprise UNIX environments with 100+ AIX servers.
• 2+ years migrating authentication from NIS to MS Active Directory.
• 2+ years working with container technologies.
• Working knowledge of NIS and MS Active Directory services for Linux and AIX.
• Bachelor's degree in an IT or engineering field.
