Description

You will serve as the technical lead for the AIX administration team, managing complex infrastructure and critical production support environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of AIX administrators and manage escalated, critical incidents.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents and execute trend analysis to minimize incident recurrence.
• Plan and schedule changes while coordinating with various stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Manage server builds, OS upgrades, migrations, and hardware troubleshooting, including vendor coordination.
• Automate administrative tasks using Shell scripting and own disaster recovery planning and patch management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in AIX infrastructure and product engineering.
• Expertise in AIX, NIM (Network Installation Manager), VIOS, and HACMP.
• Proficiency in LVM, user management, and mksysb backup/restoration procedures.
• Hands-on experience with NIM server installation, configuration, and administration.
• Competency in HACMP cluster installation and configuration.
• Ability to perform HMC firmware upgrades, VIOS upgrades, and Live Partition Mobility.
• Knowledge of LPAR installation and maintenance.
• Understanding of ITIL frameworks and quality/security compliance standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RedHat Linux (7, 8, 9) and SUSE 12.x.
• IBM Certified System Administrator – AIX Power Systems or PowerHA SystemMirror V7.2.5 AIX Administrator Specialty certification.
