Description

You lead the AIX administration team, managing critical production infrastructure and resolving escalated incidents.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead AIX administrators and manage critical incident escalations.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and trend analysis to minimize recurrence.
• Plan changes and coordinate with stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Manage server builds, OS upgrades, migrations, and hardware troubleshooting with vendor coordination.
• Automate tasks via Shell scripting and own disaster recovery and patch management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years in AIX infrastructure and product engineering.
• Expertise in AIX, NIM (Network Installation Manager), VIOS, and HACMP.
• Proficiency in LVM, user management, and mksysb backup/restoration.
• Hands-on NIM server installation, configuration, and administration.
• HACMP cluster installation and configuration.
• HMC firmware upgrades, VIOS upgrades, and Live Partition Mobility.
• LPAR installation and maintenance.
• Understanding of ITIL frameworks and quality/security compliance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RedHat Linux (7, 8, 9) and SUSE 12.x.
• IBM Certified System Administrator – AIX Power Systems or PowerHA SystemMirror V7.2.5.
• AIX Administrator Specialty certification.
