Description

You will lead a team of administrators to provide production support and manage complex AIX infrastructure. You will own the release pipeline, root cause analysis for critical incidents, and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of AIX administrators and manage escalated, critical incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and trend analysis to minimize incident counts.
• Plan and schedule changes while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Execute server builds, OS upgrades, migrations, and hardware troubleshooting with vendor coordination.
• Manage DR planning, capacity planning, and patch management for AIX and Linux infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in AIX infrastructure and product engineering.
• Expertise in AIX, NIM, VIOS, and HACMP.
• Proficiency in LVM, user management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with NIM server installation, configuration, and administration.
• Hands-on experience with VIOS and HACMP cluster installation and configuration.
• Ability to perform mksysb backup/restoration and LPAR installation/maintenance.
• Experience with HMC firmware upgrades, VIOS upgrades, and Live Partition Mobility.
• Knowledge of Linux environments including RedHat (7, 8, 9) and Suse 12.x.
• Understanding of ITIL frameworks and quality/security compliance.

Preferred Skills

• IBM Certified System Administrator – AIX Power Systems.
• IBM PowerHA SystemMirror V7.2.5 AIX Administrator Specialty certification.
