Description

You will manage and maintain AIX infrastructure across large-scale environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform OS upgrades, patch installations, and bare metal AIX installations.
• Administer daily operations, performance tuning, and system migration.
• Troubleshoot server boot, HMC, VIO, and cluster issues.
• Manage disaster recovery (DR) for the operating system.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in IT administration.
• Deep knowledge of AIX administration, including job control and kernel/shell distinctions.
• Expertise with AIX Lpar/HMC and system upgrades.
• Strong proficiency in Shell scripting (Bash/ksh, Perl, Python).
• Strong understanding of Logical Volume Manager (LVM).
• Experience configuring OS, Kickstart servers, and Identity Management.
• Knowledge of virtualization products, hardware, Yum, and RPM.
• Solid networking troubleshooting ability and fundamentals.

Preferred Skills

• Experience creating application repositories.
