Description

You will design, engineer, and support IBM Power/AIX servers, LPARs, and associated workloads.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage AIX OS upgrades, patching, LPAR provisioning, and system recovery.
• Configure VIOS, network virtualization, and storage virtualization.
• Perform performance analysis, capacity planning, and security remediation for Red Hat Linux servers.
• Troubleshoot complex performance issues, availability errors, and outages to restore services.
• Document technical requirements, architectural processes, and procedures.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of experience as an AIX administrator or engineer.
• Minimum 5 years with IBM POWER Systems, including IBM I (iSeries, AS/400) and IBM AIX.
• Proficiency with Hardware Management Console (HMC) configuration and support.
• Experience with IBM Power Systems hardware configuration and IBM server firmware.
• Hands-on experience with automation scripting, specifically Ansible.
• Ability to support storage subsystems and collaborate on technical requirements.
• Experience supporting Red Hat Linux servers.
