Description

You will lead end-to-end AIX environment migrations, system provisioning, and automation initiatives.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed discovery, dependency mapping, and risk assessments of AIX environments.
• Execute migrations using LPAR creation, VIOS setup, and PowerHA configurations.
• Use NIM for system provisioning and mksysb images for backup and recovery.
• Develop automation scripts and frameworks using Shell, Ansible, Python, and Perl.
• Generate technical documentation including HLD, LLD, SOPs, and L3 operational run books.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of enterprise-level experience in AIX migrations and system administration.
• Extensive expertise in IBM AIX administration (LPAR, DLPAR, VIOS, NIM, mksysb, PowerHA, HMC).
• Advanced proficiency in Shell, Ansible, Python, and Perl scripting.
• Strong knowledge of migration methodologies, virtualization, and capacity planning.
• Experience with storage configuration and network integration.
• Proven ability to create automation frameworks for routine tasks and provisioning.
• Ability to produce detailed configuration manuals and migration workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Facilitate knowledge transfer and post-migration support to operational teams.
