Description

You will manage and support AIX and Linux midrange systems in a 24x7 environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Perform IBM AIX and Linux server administration, including installation, customization, and upgrades.
• Manage LPAR generation and reconfiguration for fully and partially virtualized partitions.
• Configure and upgrade Advanced Power Virtualization VIO servers, including redundant VIO servers and Shared Ethernet Adapters (SEA).
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for OS and product-related issues.
• Act as an internal consultant for design reviews, performance tuning, and deployment planning.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in system administration.
• Expertise in AIX System Administration.
• Proficiency with Linux server administration.
• Hands-on experience with Power HA.
• Deep knowledge of IBM P9 and P10 architectures.
• Advanced skills in LPAR generation and reconfiguration.
• Experience with VIO server installation and configuration.
• Ability to perform technical troubleshooting and RCA.
• Knowledge of Unix technology and storage basics.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
