Description

Manage and support AIX and Linux midrange systems in a 24x7 environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer, install, and customize IBM AIX and Linux servers.
• Manage LPAR generation and reconfiguration, including fully and partially virtualized partitions.
• Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades on Advanced Power Virtualization VIO servers, including SEA and redundant VIO setups.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for OS and product-related issues.
• Act as an internal consultant for design reviews, performance tuning, and deployment planning.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in system administration.
• Deep expertise in AIX and Linux server management.
• Hands-on experience with Power HA and Unix environments.
• Proficiency in IBM P9 and P10 architectures.
• Advanced knowledge of Logical Partition (LPAR) generation and reconfiguration.
• Experience with Advanced Power Virtualization VIO servers and Shared Ethernet Adapters (SEA).
• Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and RCA.
• Experience with system scripting and operational support.
