Description

Administer AIX and UNIX systems, managing user accounts, configurations, patching, and troubleshooting to ensure system stability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer AIX systems including user management, system configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Manage backup and restore operations using TSM and Tivoli components, ensuring successful job execution and retention compliance.
• Support storage administration tasks including LVM management, volume/group operations, and capacity planning.
• Coordinate SAN-related activities such as storage provisioning support, device mapping validation, and operational issue resolution.
• Monitor system health, investigate incidents, and perform root-cause analysis to improve stability and uptime.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience in AIX/UNIX systems administration.
• Hands-on experience with AIX administration and UNIX system operations.
• Proficiency in TSM and Tivoli backup/restore administration (IBM Tivoli, BTSM).
• Strong understanding of storage provisioning workflows, including SAN and Storage operations.
• Experience with LVM administration for logical volume and filesystem management.
• Familiarity with LLVM and MySQL environments.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
