Description

Lead development of software solutions by designing, implementing, and testing modules to meet system requirements for inventory tracking and data retrieval.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and maintain IBM ALC programs and software packages.
• Design software solutions and write, analyze, and rewrite programs using workflow charts and symbolic logic.
• Lead and mentor entry and mid-level developers through code reviews, unit testing, and technical guidance.
• Consult with engineering personnel to clarify program intent, define requirements, and resolve complex issues.
• Document program development, revisions, and logical operations through detailed workflow diagrams and code comments.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of related software development experience.
• Proficiency in IBM ALC programming language within a Z/OS environment.
• Experience with IBM Job Control Language (JCL).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and database management.
• Ability to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to support users through troubleshooting and production log analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or four years of additional related experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with TSO, File Manager, ISPFF, and Endevor.
• Experience with IBM utilities including De-Bug and IRS Corporate Systems.
