Description

Manage and maintain the Automated Meter Infrastructure (AMI) system to ensure optimal performance and data integrity. You will administer the AMI environment, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement data security measures to protect sensitive customer information and meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer the AMI system and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Develop and maintain database solutions for AMI data collection, storage, and analysis.
• Design and optimize data warehousing solutions for large volumes of meter data.
• Integrate Manual Meter Reading Applications with Billing Interfaces and support mobile devices for AMI applications.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell and Python.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience administering AMI applications or similar systems in a utility industry.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL.
• Experience with big data management tools including Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with PowerShell and Python for automation.
• Proficiency with Power BI development and reporting.
• Familiarity with AMI hardware and communication protocols, such as MTUs and RF mesh networks.
• Knowledge of IT Change Management Processes.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
