Description

You will administer the Automated Meter Infrastructure (AMI) environment, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and security compliance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer the AMI system and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Develop and maintain database solutions for AMI data collection, storage, and analysis.
• Design and optimize data warehousing solutions for large volumes of meter data.
• Integrate Manual Meter Reading Applications with Billing Interfaces and support mobile devices.
• Automate operational tasks using PowerShell and Python.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience administering AMI applications or similar systems in the utility industry.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL.
• Experience with big data management tools including Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and Python for automation.
• Proficiency with Power BI development and reporting.
• Familiarity with AMI hardware and communication protocols (MTUs, RF mesh networks).
• Knowledge of IT Change Management Processes.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
