You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data models to power business insights.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain dbt data models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product teams to define data requirements and deliver production-ready pipelines.
• Optimize complex SQL queries and transformations for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Implement data testing, documentation, and version control using dbt and Git workflows.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and privacy regulations, including HIPAA and PHI.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) in a production environment.
• Expert SQL development and optimization skills, including performance tuning.
• Proven experience supporting data workflows within the healthcare field (payer, provider, or clinical data).
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles, testing, and documentation best practices.
• Familiarity with modern data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Exposure to object-oriented programming in Python.
• Experience with data engineering practices and workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data warehousing architectures.
