Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Android-based embedded systems and AOSP customizations.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Customize and optimize the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for specific hardware platforms.
• Integrate and debug Android system components, drivers, and frameworks.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to perform platform bring-up.
• Execute code reviews, testing, and debugging of embedded software.
• Perform performance tuning and security feature implementation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Android system development and AOSP.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Java.
• Deep knowledge of Android framework internals.
• Experience with kernel development and device drivers.
• Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces and protocols including I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of build systems such as Make, CMake, or Bazel.
• Experience with Android security, encryption, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools like JTAG or oscilloscopes.
