Description

You will design, develop, and integrate software components for Android TV (AOSP) and Linux-based Set-Top Box (STB) platforms, optimizing the system for specific SoC hardware.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Customize and optimize the Android system for SoC platforms including Amlogic, Broadcom, MediaTek, and Realtek.
• Port and migrate AOSP codebases, ensuring compatibility and performance across diverse device architectures.
• Develop HIDL interfaces and native services, contributing to vendor and system-level service development.
• Integrate SoC SDKs and HALs, customizing the Android framework and middleware for specific hardware requirements.
• Debug and optimize Android multimedia frameworks, focusing on MediaCodec and AV pipeline performance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Android Open Source Project (AOSP) development.
• Strong programming proficiency in C/C++ and Java.
• Deep understanding of Android framework customization and middleware development.
• Experience with Android TV or Linux-based Set-Top Box (STB) platforms.
• Knowledge of SoC platforms such as Amlogic, Broadcom, MediaTek, and Realtek.
• Experience with HIDL and native service development.
• Familiarity with HAL integration and vendor SDK customization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience utilizing Android Profiler, Perfetto, ftrace, and Heapprofd for system troubleshooting.
