Description

You will own Android Open Source Project (AOSP) platform-level connectivity and modem integration. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize connectivity aspects including Wi-Fi, cellular connections, and modem-side integration from a platform standpoint.
• Implement connectivity interfaces between the User Equipment (UE) and the network.
• Fetch OS and carrier-specific network attributes to diagnose customer service issues.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the Android ecosystem.
• Manage permissions and privileges within AOSP and mobile applications.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in AOSP, Android OS, and mobile app development.
• Deep expertise in Android platform connectivity, including modem, Wi-Fi, and cellular stacks.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK across multiple versions.
• Understanding of modem in UE and connectivity interfaces between UE and the network.
• Knowledge of voice event generation and network attribute diagnostics.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, cloud message APIs, and push notifications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with continuous integration workflows.
• Familiarity with the open-source Android ecosystem and common libraries.
