You will customize and enhance Android platform components and develop STB-specific modules.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Drive customization and enhancement of Android platform components (AOSP).
• Develop and optimize STB-specific modules including Android HAL layers for Graphics, Audio, Tuner, DRM, and Connectivity.
• Build and enhance middleware for playback, CAS/DRM, and broadcast standards such as DVB, ATSC, and ISDB.
• Implement system services related to remote control, UI/UX, and overall system performance.
• Debug complex system-level issues across the Android framework, HAL, and kernel layers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Android platform development and AOSP customization.
• Hands-on expertise with STB platforms and media-focused Android implementations.
• Solid understanding of Android HAL layers, including Graphics, Audio, Tuner, DRM, and Connectivity.
• Experience working with middleware for playback, CAS/DRM, and broadcast standards (DVB, ATSC, ISDB).
• Proficiency in debugging system-level issues across Android framework, HAL, and kernel.
• Experience using tools such as Android Studio, ADB, SysTrace, Perfetto, Logcat, Wireshark, and GDB.
• Knowledge of Android security patch upgrades and component rebasing.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
