Description

You will own the design, implementation, and debugging of Android Automotive systems, focusing on framework-level components and custom hardware abstraction layers.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement complex Android system components using C++ and Java, applying SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Develop and maintain custom Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL) for critical vehicle subsystems such as Radio, Vehicle, Audio, and GNSS.
• Manage Android OS migrations, ensuring compliance with Android security standards, SELinux policies, FBE, and FDE.
• Conduct root cause analysis and debugging using code analysis tools, CTS/VTS validation, and deep framework tracing.
• Collaborate using management tools like Jira and ALM to track defects and deliverables in an onsite environment.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in C++ (STL, Templates, Exceptions, Threading) and Java.
• Deep expertise in the Android Framework, including Android Automotive, Car Service, Android Treble, VNDK, AIDL, and HIDL.
• Hands-on experience with Android NDK and JNI for native code integration.
• Proven track record in implementing custom HALs for automotive domains.
• Strong knowledge of Android CTS/VTS validation and Android OS migration strategies.
• Expertise in Android security, SELinux configuration, and Full Disk Encryption (FBE/FDE).
• Experience with component/system design and explaining previous project architectures.
