Description

You will manage the Android platform and development environment on macOS while maintaining the hybrid application codebase.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain custom Cordova plugins and hooks for the application.
• Perform annual maintenance on the codebase and automated build scripts to align with Android updates.
• Monitor production feedback, crash reports, and analytics to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to resolve proxy, software, and administrative privilege issues affecting builds.
• Train web application developers on building and debugging hybrid apps.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mobile development.
• Proficiency in Java and an interest in Kotlin.
• Broad Google API experience, including Auth, SafetyNet, and Permissions.
• Deep knowledge of mobile programming concepts such as Threading, Crash Analysis, and Security.
• JavaScript programming using Node and hybrid app debugging via Chrome.
• Experience with Cordova command line tools and NPM package publishing.
• Proficiency with Android Studio and Git Submodules.
• macOS configuration including shell scripting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing APIs.
• iOS app development experience, including reading Swift and Objective-C.
• Strong user experience skills.
