Description

You will own the development and maintenance of our Hybrid App project on the Android platform.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Steward the Android platform and perform development on macOS.
• Create and maintain custom Cordova plugins and hooks.
• Perform annual maintenance on the codebase and automated build scripts to adapt to Android changes.
• Monitor production feedback, crash reports, and analytics to address issues.
• Train web application developers on building and debugging hybrid apps.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Java and working knowledge of Kotlin.
• Experience with Android Google APIs (Auth, SafetyNet, Permissions).
• Strong knowledge of mobile programming concepts including Threading, Crash Analysis, and Security.
• Experience with JavaScript using Node and hybrid app debugging via Chrome.
• Familiarity with Git Submodules and NPM package publishing.
• Experience using Cordova command line tools and Android Studio on macOS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing APIs.
• Experience with iOS app development (Swift/Objective-C reading).
