Description

You will own the Android platform, hybrid codebase maintenance, and developer enablement for the mobile team.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Android development environment on macOS and maintain the hybrid application codebase.
• Create and maintain custom Cordova plugins and hooks to support application functionality.
• Perform annual maintenance on the codebase and automated build scripts to ensure alignment with Android updates.
• Monitor production feedback, crash reports, and analytics to identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to resolve proxy, software, and administrative privilege issues affecting builds.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mobile development.
• Proficiency in Java and an interest in Kotlin.
• Broad experience with Google APIs, including Auth, SafetyNet, and Permissions.
• Deep knowledge of mobile programming concepts such as threading, crash analysis, and security.
• JavaScript programming using Node and hybrid app debugging via Chrome.
• Experience with Cordova command line tools and NPM package publishing.
• Proficiency with Android Studio and Git Submodules.
• macOS configuration including shell scripting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing APIs.
• iOS app development experience, including reading Swift and Objective-C.
