Description

You will develop and maintain localized features for a global mobile application on the Android platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build localized functionality for the Volvo On Call application.
• Implement Android components and integrate them with back-end services.
• Collaborate with global CX/UX, frontend, and backend teams to ship new features.
• Identify bottlenecks and fix bugs to ensure application responsiveness.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation within a global development team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing consumer-facing mobile applications.
• Proficiency in Java and Android Development Studio.
• Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and Python.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs for back-end service integration.
• Knowledge of cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning tools.
• Understanding of UI/UX standards and design principles.
• Proficiency with code versioning tools and continuous integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
