Description

You will adapt existing Android BLE code into a new application, supporting multiple concurrent devices. You will build and modify Jetpack Compose UX/UI for device setup, connection status, and error states while troubleshooting BLE connection and permission issues.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Refactor legacy BLE code to support multiple concurrent devices.
• Build Jetpack Compose interfaces for setup, status, and error handling.
• Troubleshoot BLE connection, reconnection, and permission issues.
• Collaborate with QA and backend teams to test and refine implementations.
• Document BLE behavior, edge cases, and known limitations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow, and ViewModels.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose for UI development.
• Hands-on experience with BLE or connected-device workflows.
• Deep understanding of Android lifecycle, Bluetooth permissions, and background behavior.
• Ability to read existing architecture and safely adapt it.
• Strong debugging skills and comfort testing on real devices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating BLE devices into regulated or healthcare software.
• Familiarity with Hilt, Room, REST APIs, or offline-capable apps.
• Experience working closely with QA on device testing and edge cases.
