Description

You will design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to ship features.
• Integrate with outside data sources and RESTful APIs.
• Unit-test code, focusing on edge cases and application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously evaluate new technologies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin for Android development.
• Experience with the Android SDK, UI design patterns, and best practices.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs for connecting to back-end services.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of Git for code versioning.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks for Android.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with C/C++ and JNI for native Android development.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Experience with Spring Framework, SQLite, and RESTful services.
