Description

You will own native Android feature development, focusing on IoT companion apps, BLE connectivity, and complex background operations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop native Android features in Kotlin using Jetpack Compose and XML/View, adhering to Material Design guidelines.
• Implement end-to-end BLE flows including scanning, filtering, connection management, GATT communication, and disconnection.
• Integrate with backend services via RESTful APIs and GraphQL, ensuring secure token-based authentication and networking.
• Build reliable background tasks using WorkManager, handling process death and device standby modes effectively.
• Maintain UI and data layers using MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Room persistence while troubleshooting production issues.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of native Android development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Strong judgment in choosing between Jetpack Compose and XML/View.
• Experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger).
• Deep understanding of BLE protocols: GATT services, characteristics, MTU handling, and byte-level transfer.
• Networking skills: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JWT handling, and SSL pinning.
• Persistence expertise: Room (Entity/DAO/Database), RecyclerView optimization, and efficient caching strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IoT connected-device companion apps and OTA firmware update flows.
• Knowledge of A/B testing implementation and rollout strategies.
• Practical use of AI-assisted development tools in daily workflow.
