Description

You will own native Android feature development, BLE connectivity, and backend integration for IoT devices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop native Android features in Kotlin using Jetpack Compose and XML/View, following Material Design guidelines.
• Implement and maintain BLE end-to-end flows, including scanning, filtering, connection, service discovery, GATT communication, and disconnection.
• Integrate with backend APIs using RESTful APIs and GraphQL, handling token-based authentication with JWT and secure networking practices.
• Build reliable background operations using WorkManager, managing process death and device standby behavior.
• Deliver UI and data layers using MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Dependency Injection, troubleshooting production issues via analytics.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of native Android development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and XML/View, with judgment on when to use each.
• Solid understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger).
• Hands-on experience with BLE, including GATT services, MTU handling, and reliable byte-level transfer.
• Networking skills with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JWT, and SSL pinning.
• Strong persistence layer experience with Room (Entity/DAO/Database) and RecyclerView optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IoT companion apps, OTA firmware updates, and A/B testing rollouts.
• Google Maps integration and practical use of AI-assisted development tools.
