Description

You will own the full lifecycle of mobile engineering projects and business solutions on Android.

Responsibilities

• Execute mobile engineering projects from discovery through implementation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and business bugs for mobile devices.
• Participate in peer code reviews and team development initiatives.
• Support the implementation of business solutions through mobile engineering.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience building scalable ecommerce applications or mobile software.
• Extensive experience with Android software development and Java.
• Proven track record with a published Android application.
• Experience with mobile network clients using HTTP protocol, REST APIs, and Google Cloud Messaging.
• Proficiency with Google Play APIs including Maps, Location, and Cloud Messaging.
• Experience using Git/GitHub for distributed source code version control.
• Experience with software debugging techniques, including debuggers, loggers, and crash report tools.
• Experience analyzing memory issues and leaks using tools like DDMS or MAT.
• Knowledge of design patterns, MVC, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with unit and integration testing for Android code.
• Experience working within the Scrum agile methodology.
• Experience with embedded real-time systems with limited memory and processing resources.
