You will focus on AOSP Wi-Fi stack development, middleware optimization, and media casting integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize the AOSP Wi-Fi framework above the driver level to ensure connectivity performance.
- Integrate, debug, and enhance Google Cast functionalities across Android devices.
- Manage Wi-Fi middleware components to maintain network stability and connection integrity for casting.
- Analyze Wi-Fi performance using QoS strategies, buffer tuning, and bandwidth optimization.
- Diagnose authentication and encryption issues by troubleshooting WPA2, WPA3, and supplicant behavior.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Android development with a focus on Wi-Fi stack and middleware.
- Proficiency in AOSP, specifically within the Wi-Fi module.
- Expertise in C++, Java, or Kotlin.
- Deep understanding of Wi-Fi security protocols including WPA2 and WPA3.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Wi-Fi supplicant operations and Android Networking APIs.
- Skill in using Wireshark and other network analysis tools for debugging.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Google Cast, AirPlay, Miracast, WiDi, or DLNA.
