Description

You will develop and optimize the AOSP Wi-Fi stack, middleware, and media casting integration for Android devices.

Since is_remote, hybrid, and on_site are all 0, no work mode line is added.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the AOSP Wi-Fi framework above the driver level to ensure connectivity performance.
• Integrate, debug, and enhance Google Cast functionalities across Android devices.
• Manage Wi-Fi middleware components to maintain network stability and connection integrity for casting.
• Analyze Wi-Fi performance using QoS strategies, buffer tuning, and bandwidth optimization.
• Diagnose authentication and encryption issues by troubleshooting WPA2, WPA3, and supplicant behavior.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Android development with a focus on Wi-Fi stack and middleware.
• Proficiency in AOSP, specifically within the Wi-Fi module.
• Expertise in C++, Java, or Kotlin.
• Deep understanding of Wi-Fi security protocols including WPA2 and WPA3.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting Wi-Fi supplicant operations and Android Networking APIs.
• Skill in using Wireshark and other network analysis tools for debugging.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Google Cast, AirPlay, Miracast, WiDi, or DLNA.
