Description

You will manage and optimize distributed search infrastructure, owning the lifecycle of Apache Solr clusters from deployment to performance tuning.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test Solr search engines and advanced query rewriting functionality.
• Manage Solr clusters, including indexing large data volumes and performance tuning.
• Write automated unit tests and maintain applications on AWS using microservices architectures.
• Utilize Python for automation and Linux for debugging and performance optimization.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Apache Solr and Lucene.
• 3+ years designing and developing search solutions.
• Proficiency in Java, including JVM tuning and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for scaling and monitoring.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure management and optimization.
• Solid understanding of search algorithms, data structures, and relevance models.
• Experience with SQL and various database technologies.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins or GitHub Actions) and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Azure cloud technologies.
• Apache Solr relevant certifications.
