Description

You will design, develop, and manage APIs and integrations using IBM API Connect.

Responsibilities

• Develop API Swagger definitions, XSLT mappings, and API assemblies using built-in and user-defined policies.
• Implement RESTful APIs supporting JSON, XML, and file formats.
• Secure APIs using OAuth, JWT, JWS, and JWE standards.
• Configure and publish APIs, plans, and products to the developer portal via command line.
• Analyze logs and toolkit issues to resolve production and performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API development and integration.
• Hands-on experience with IBM API Connect and loopback applications.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Deep understanding of JWS and API security protocols.
• Experience with XSLT and mapping specifications.
• Ability to implement API Manager extensions and customize Developer Portals.
• Skill in Node.js for microservices development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience conducting research and POCs on open-source technologies.
• Knowledge of loopback applications on IBM Bluemix.
