Description

You will design, implement, and deploy scalable API solutions across AWS cloud-native environments and distributed systems.

You will own the release pipeline and technical direction for microservices-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of microservices-based solutions, including hands-on coding and technical leadership.
• Define and enforce API design standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
• Create architecture designs aligned with enterprise strategy and infrastructure standards.
• Manage and prioritize API and product feature backlogs in an Agile environment.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of API platforms while providing production support and root cause analysis.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, API development, and distributed systems.
• 5+ years of experience in API design and development, specifically RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services: API Gateway, Lambda, ECS/EKS, SQS/SNS.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Strong experience with API management, versioning, security (OAuth2, JWT), and governance.
• Experience with cloud messaging, event-driven architectures, and system integration patterns.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Knowledge of GraphQL, gRPC, or event-driven API patterns.
• Experience mentoring teams or leading architecture initiatives in regulated industries.
