Description

You will own the design and implementation of enterprise-scale APIs across the full lifecycle.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain REST, GraphQL, XML, and AsyncAPI endpoints.
• Define and enforce API contracts, schemas, and versioning strategies across product teams.
• Architect integration patterns using message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and API gateways (Kong, AWS API Gateway, MuleSoft).
• Champion CI/CD pipelines for API deployment using tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Ensure API observability through distributed tracing, structured logging, and APM tooling.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 3+ years in API architecture.
• Expert knowledge of RESTful API principles, OpenAPI/Swagger 3.x, and JSON:API standards.
• Proficiency in Java, Springboot, Kotlin, Python, Node.js, and Linux.
• Experience designing SOA, microservices, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) architectures.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, SAML, and JWT for authentication.
• Proven experience configuring API gateways for rate limiting, throttling, and traffic management.
