Description

You will lead the design and development of secure, reliable, and cost-effective API infrastructure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly reliable, scalable, and performant distributed systems and APIs.
• Own the security, reliability, and performance of the API infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvements.
• Implement API design principles including security, versioning, error handling, and optimization.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to define technical requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development and API design.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
• Deep understanding of microservices patterns and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or Mesos).
• Expertise in RESTful APIs and web services.
• Strong knowledge of SOA, EAI, ESB, and Event Driven Architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building APIs within the Solar or Energy industry.
