Description

You will define API architecture standards, design scalable RESTful APIs and microservices, and provide technical leadership on event-driven and integration patterns.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement API architecture standards, design patterns, and governance models.
• Design scalable, secure RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.
• Lead API lifecycle management including design, versioning, documentation, and monitoring.
• Drive performance optimization, resiliency, and fault tolerance strategies.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD enablement and deployment automation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with Kafka or other messaging frameworks for event-driven architectures.
• Experience with API Gateway technologies.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI specifications and documentation.
• Understanding of domain-driven design and service decomposition.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and middleware integration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with secure API design and regulatory compliance standards.
• Background in mentoring development teams and conducting design reviews.
