Description

You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex API solutions and integration strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of APIs to integrate software systems, applications, and data sources.
  • Define and enforce API standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency and reusability.
  • Provide technical leadership on architectural decisions and collaborate with cloud engineering teams for seamless system integration.
  • Optimize API performance and scalability to handle high traffic and large data volumes.
  • Implement security measures including authentication, authorization, and encryption following OWASP best practices.
  • Create comprehensive API documentation and collaborate with QA teams on functional and performance testing.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of AWS Cloud experience, specifically with API Gateway and Lambda.
  • Expertise in Python for writing Lambda functions, automation, and data processing.
  • Proven experience in API architecture and design.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cognito, DynamoDB, and AWS Amplify.
  • Proficiency with Okta for authentication using CSRF and Access tokens.
  • Knowledge of implementing encryption and decryption for data protection.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Ability to work onsite in Alameda, CA.
