Description

You will own API quality assurance through automation and functional testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test cases for API functionalities, covering positive, negative, boundary, and stress scenarios.
• Write automated test scripts using API testing tools and programming languages to interact with APIs.
• Execute automated API tests across development, staging, and production environments and monitor results.
• Identify, document, and report defects clearly, providing detailed reproduction steps to development teams.
• Integrate automated API tests into the CI/CD pipeline and analyze test reports for actionable quality insights.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in API automation testing.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python or Java.
• Expertise with API testing tools, including Postman, SoapUI, and Rest Assured.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services, HTTP, and JSON protocols.
• Experience implementing and using JUnit or TestNG test frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration processes.
• Understanding of database concepts for data validation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience conducting API performance and security testing to assess response times, throughput, and vulnerabilities.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
