Description

You will own the API automation testing lifecycle, ensuring robust validation of REST and SOAP services through automated test suites.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain API automation scripts using JavaScript and REST Assured.
• Validate API responses, status codes, and JSON bodies for GET, PUT, POST, PATCH, and DELETE requests.
• Implement authentication and authorization checks within end-to-end test scenarios.
• Maintain regression suites, troubleshoot failures, and fix defects in the testing pipeline.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub.

Required Skills

• 4-6 years of experience in API Automation Testing.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript for test scripting.
• Hands-on experience with REST Assured for service testing.
• Proficiency in REST and SOAP API integration testing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, GitHub, and SourceTree.
• Familiarity with JIRA for defect tracking and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of ReadyAPI and Postman.
• Understanding of PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with JSON schema validation and complex E2E test case creation.
• Familiarity with Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle processes.
