Description

You will lead the design and delivery of end-to-end API solutions within the Open Banking Center of Excellence.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solution designs focused on API architecture, security standards, and best practices.
• Define and implement industry-standard API design patterns and documentation using Swagger or RAML.
• Conduct technical risk identification, estimation, and solution planning for large-scale integration projects.
• Review technical team outputs, including code and designs, to ensure alignment with solution architecture.
• Collaborate with delivery leads to decompose solutions for iterative sprint delivery and present to the Architecture Review Board.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a solution architect for large-scale API integration projects.
• Expertise in REST API design principles and creating Swagger or RAML definitions.
• Proficiency in API security standards including OAuth, mutual authentication, and OIDC.
• Experience with API management platforms such as MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, or AWS API Gateway.
• Experience building and deploying distributed microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in public cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Deep understanding of observability, logging, monitoring, and error handling.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, Kafka, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Familiarity with Splunk or ELK.
• Experience within the financial services industry.
