Description

You will design, develop, and implement software engineering best practices for APIs on cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop RESTful APIs using Python, AWS Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Lead design sessions, conduct code reviews, and perform system testing.
• Create extendable and reusable service components to drive efficiency.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for product owners integrating with data assets.
• Partner with business, IT, and external teams to resolve technical inquiries and ensure security compliance.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of expert-level Python programming.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS services.
• Proficiency in RESTful web services, AWS Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Knowledge of API security frameworks, token management, and user access control (AWS Cognito/Azure, OAuth, JWT, OpenAPI).
• Experience querying various data sources including APIs, RDBMSs, and document stores.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or a related field.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) or Developer (Associate).
• Experience with CI/CD frameworks using GIT (Bitbucket preferred).
• Experience with event-based services such as SQS and SNS for data integration.
