Roles and Responsibilities:

• Configure and manage Kong API Gateway for routing, authentication/authorization, and API policies.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs using JSON for microservices-based systems.
• Deploy, scale, and troubleshoot services and gateway components using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate APIs with backend microservices, ensuring consistent request/response handling and error behavior.
• Support API lifecycle activities including versioning, documentation alignment, and production monitoring.

Skills Required:

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in API development and API gateway deployments
• Kong API / Kong API Gateway configuration and administration
• API Gateway concepts and REST API development
• JSON request/response modeling and API contract consistency
• Microservices integration and containerized deployment using Docker and Kubernetes

Good to Have:

• OpenAPI for API specification and contract-driven development
• gRPC for service-to-service communication

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Master's Degree in Computer Science
