Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and microservice APIs.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion and processing using Cloud Composer, Dataflow, or custom scripts.
• Design and implement microservice architectures using Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and secure APIs using Apigee, applying standard security patterns.
• Optimize BigQuery performance through partitioning, clustering, and query tuning.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and manage cost efficiency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or API development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Java.
• Expertise with GCP services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Bigtable.
• Experience designing APIs with Spring Boot and Core Java.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture and security patterns.
• Experience with real-time and batch processing architectures.
• Understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and distributed computing.

Preferred Skills

• GCP certifications (Professional Data Engineer, Associate Cloud Engineer).
• Exposure to Kafka or NiFi for streaming.
• Experience with Docker containerization.
