Description

You will design, develop, and manage a Dockerized API-proxy solution using the Kong API Gateway and Lua.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Kong API Gateway solution using Lua.
• Extend AWS infrastructure via CloudFormation, including RDS and ElastiCache.
• Manage the AWS stack with auto-scaling Docker containers on EC2.
• Implement CloudWatch logs, alarms, and troubleshooting within release cadences.
• Refine Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for deployment, acceptance testing, and health monitoring.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Designing, developing, and supporting RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with Jenkins, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting in Python, Shell, Unix, and Groovy.
• Experience with Kong-Lua or similar scripting (Python/Scala).
• Developing services, clients, and multi-threaded software.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server or equivalent databases.
• Understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Experience with unit testing and test automation.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications (Developer or Architect) and VPC/Route53/ALB experience.
• Experience with nginx, microservices, Swagger, and authentication methods.
