Description

You will develop, maintain, and secure APIs using IBM API Connect and DataPower.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support APIs using IBM API Connect, DataPower, Gateway Script, XSLT, OAuth2.0, and JWT.
• Manage security configurations including certificate management, cryptographic profiles, and SSL/TLS setups.
• Perform API installation, configuration, version management, upgrades, and fix packs for DataPower (v2018, v10) and API Connect.
• Integrate APIs with backend services, databases, and third-party applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve API-related development and integration issues.

Required Skills

• 2–3 years of experience with IBM API Connect and DataPower.
• Hands-on experience with Web Service Proxy (WSP), Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), and Firewall Services.
• Proficiency in DataPower Logs, Logging Configuration, and SSL, AAA, Sign/Verify, and Encrypt/Decrypt configurations.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth, OpenID, REST, and API security patterns.
• Experience with symmetric, asymmetric, and hybrid cryptography, including managing .pem and .key files.
• Proficiency in Linux/UNIX environments, Shell Scripting, and PowerShell.
• Administrative experience with DataPower upgrades, reloads, and reboots.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of OpenShift and Docker.
