Description

You will build and maintain core API services for credit decisioning applications, ensuring secure and scalable data flow between internal systems and third-party services.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Create secure and scalable API endpoints using REST, GraphQL, and SOAP.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth and API keys.
• Connect internal systems and third-party services to manage data flow.
• Maintain detailed documentation for API usage, endpoints, and data structures.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend developers on requirements and integration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), or Ruby.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, specifically Oracle or SQL Server, including writing SQL queries.
• Strong competency in version control using Git.
• Familiarity with API management platforms and testing tools like Postman.
• Knowledge of OAuth for authentication.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hybrid or remote distributed team collaboration.
• Background in financial or credit decisioning domains.
