Description

You will design, implement, and support scalable, secure API ecosystems using Google Cloud Platform and Apigee.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API proxies, security policies, and traffic management solutions using Apigee (Edge or X) to support scalable API architectures.
• Manage the API Marketplace and developer portal platforms to enable API discovery, documentation, and self-service capabilities.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for API deployments using tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Enforce API security standards including OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JWT while implementing threat protection, rate limiting, and encryption best practices.
• Partner with engineering teams to define API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger), transformation logic, and integration patterns.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on API management or API gateway platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Apigee implementation.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, or Pulumi.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Strong understanding of API security standards: OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JWT.
• Experience with containerization and modern architectures, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and API specifications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing API marketplaces or developer portals.
• Proficiency in microservices frameworks and distributed systems monitoring.
