Description

Own end-to-end API and integration testing for CMS Burden Reduction initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity across HL7 FHIR-based REST APIs. This role focuses on validating payloads, schemas, authentication, and error handling while executing test strategies within an Agile framework.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Validate HL7 FHIR-based REST APIs, including payloads, schemas, headers, authentication, and error handling.
• Design, automate, and execute end-to-end test scenarios (positive, negative, integration) for upstream and downstream systems.
• Define and review Acceptance Criteria using GIVEN-WHEN-THEN format and provide test estimates in story points.
• Contribute to Test Strategy during PI Planning, identifying risks, dependencies, and regression impact.
• Execute tests based on business priority, walk through test evidence, and provide demos for feature acceptance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Engineering, with a focus on API testing.
• Strong expertise with REST APIs and DevOps practices.
• Experience validating HL7 FHIR standards and healthcare data workflows.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, and System Demos.
• Ability to define complex test scenarios and manage integrated test environment data needs.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong communication skills for technical design walkthroughs and stakeholder collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CMS Burden Reduction initiatives or similar regulatory compliance projects.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines.
